| Anna Paquin has been a New Zealand-Canadian TV and film actress for over 20 years. Her roles include The PianoFly Away Homeand X-Men. It was not her intention to make it as an actress, however fate chose to change her mind. She declined many of the opportunities she was offered following her film's debut's success in order to pursue her education. She was in 2000 as Rogue in X-Menthe very first film in the series of X-Men films. This role brought the actress worldwide recognition. Her role was reprised in the role of Roguein sequels, including X2 and X-Men The Last Stand.She was also seen in brief appearances on screen, most notably in Elaine Goodalein in Bury My Heart at Wounded Kneefor which she received her first Emmynomination. Then she received a flood of requests to appear in television series and was eventually cast in shows like True Bloodand Flack. |
